| New
tenants are needed, ideally by April, for ESB's flagship pub The
Station Hotel. The Station is in the picturesque
market town of Framlingham and
has about an equal food and drink trade. The main bar has a wooden
board floor (but no sawdust), a log burner, and a historic set of beer
engines. At the rear is a small snug bar with an open fire.
The snug leads to a paved garden with picnic tables. There
are no letting rooms. The commercial kitchen is adequate in size,
there is much storage space and the cellar is large and well
equipped.
ESB would like to continue the present style of no fruit machines, no
telly, no juke box, no muzak (though live music encouraged), no packaged
food, but lashings of sociability! The pub would suit those with:
an enthusiasm for real ale (The
Brewer would like a beer evangelist married to Jamie or Delia),
the ability to produce quality
home cooked food,
the commitment to live on the
premises (two bedroomed flat with large living room plus kitchen and
bathroom),
experience would help, and a
GSOH for dealing with The
Brewer.

Victoria Mill Road). |
